The schedule for the Open Day will be as follows:
9.30am – Doors open
9.45am – Introduction (bilingual) to Ty Gwydr and the Open Day (Lisa Mundle and Hilary Davies)
10am – Talk by Alexandra Wilson about youth “rites of passage” project at Cae Mabon
10.45am – Talk by representatives from the “Tyfu” allotments group
11.30am – Talk by Liam Kurnos about his community project in Caernarfon
12.15 – Talk by Vicky from the “Greeniversity” project
Between each talk there will be a brief interlude of music or poetry from local performers.
1 – 2pm – Lunch break (home cooked food served in the downstairs Events Space)
2 – 3.30pm – Open discussion on the theme of “Local Vision” (chaired by Penny Kemp, Greenhouse director)
4pm – Annual General Meeting (AGM)
There will be a small exhibition in the downstairs Events Space with a presentation about Greenhouse and a few other local groups. You are welcome to bring posters and information about your project to display on the day. We will also be beginning our “Mapping Project”, to make a map of local groups and projects who feel an affinity to the aims and ethos of the Ty Gwydr/Greenhouse.
You are welcome to drop in for a while or stay for the whole day. Entrance is free, donations towards our costs will be welcome.
